About the Leafs

Who are these beautiful ladies?! So glad you asked. The Greenleafs are Washington University’s premiere all-female a cappella group, and the second oldest a cappella group on campus. The group was founded in 1988 and is older than all of its current members! We sing a variety of music, eat a lot of cookie cake, and love each other. A lot.

Green Eggs and Jam is our annual concert that we hold each Fall. At this concert we sing leaf-arranged songs and feature both a visiting a cappella group and other WashU groups. In the spring we hold a more casual concert to showcase some new material and send our senior leafs off in style! The leafs also perform at a wide array of events both on and off campus, including at high schools, other a cappella groups’ concerts, and events such as the NCAA Volleyball Tournament Banquet, the West End Wintermarkt Festival, and the St. Louis Art Fair.

We just released a brand new, 9-track studio album, “Autumn,” which is now available for purchase! See the Album tab above for more info and purchasing details. We hold auditions in the fall and spring, so if you would like to do what you love while making amazing friendships and fabulous music, come try out! Check out the auditions tab to sign up!
